WTC에서는 수영복과 웻슈트에 관한 규정을 새롭게 발표했고 올 9월대회부터 적용하게 됩니다.
주된 내용은 웻슈트 착용여부의 수온과 슈트 착용이 허용되지 않은 대회에서의 수영복 규정에 관한 것입니다.
원문과 내용은 다음과 같습니다.
1. Swimwear and swim apparel must be comprised of 100 percent textile material, such as nylon or lycra, and may not include rubberized material such as polyurethane or neoprene.
Swimwear may not cover the neck or extend past the shoulders or knees. Swimwear may contain a zipper. A race kit or trisuit may be worn underneath swimwear.
1. 수영복의 재질은 100% 나이론이나 라이크라와 같은 섬유재이어야 하며 폴리우레탄이나 네오프론 같은 고무재가 포함된 것은 안된다.
수영복은 목과 어깨 및 무릎을 덮어서는 안된다.
수영복 지퍼는 허용되며 경기복을 수영복 안에 착용하는 것은 허용된다.
2. Wetsuits cannot measure more than 5 millimeters thick.
2. 웻슈트의 두께는 5mm를 초과할 수 없다.
3. Wetsuits may be worn in water temperatures up to and including 24.5 degrees Celsius/76.1 degrees Fahrenheit.
Athletes who choose to wear a wetsuit in water temperatures exceeding 24.5 degrees C /76.1 degrees F will not be eligible for awards, including World Championship slots.
Wetsuits will be prohibited in water temperatures greater than 28.8 degrees C/84 degrees F.
3. 웻슈트는 수온이 24.5도까지 착용이 가능하다.
수온이 24.5도 이상인 상태에서 슈트를 착용한 선수는 시상이나 하와이대회 슬롯 등에서 제외된다.
수온이 28.8도 이상에서는 슈트의 착용은 허용되지 않는다.
